September/October photos
I have continued to learn more about my camera and have some more photos to present from my recent adventures.
First are a few selections from my final month in Chicago. This time was marked by a lot of wandering and trying to get out of my head. I stumbled upon a drama performance group in the park one day, and stayed to watch a few people present. The woman I photographed here gave an exasperated monologue from the perspective of Anne Sullivan, the woman who spent years of her life teaching and communicating with Helen Keller. Later, I went birding for the first time with my friend, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. I didn't have the proper lens to get any good photos of the birds, but I was able to capture this raccoon coming out of its hole for a moment in the sun. I had a great time in the city this summer, but ultimately the time came for the sun to set on this chapter.
Then came the move to Spain. So far, I have not traveled much with the camera, but I still have been able to collect a few good shots while walking around town and the surrounding lands. There is quite a lot of old architecture, some of it over one thousand years old. That said, I practically dropped to my knees when I discovered that they also have parking lots in Europe 😍 I was so worried where all the cars were going to go. The landscape here is something I would like to explore further with the camera. More is certainly coming!
